You can donate money, supplies, services or your time.  You know what your resources are, so if you don't see something listed that you think might help, please contact us.  We need all the assistance we can get to help the many people we met while up there distributing blankets during our November Blanket Drive.

What do we do with your donation?

Your donations go to help us save the lives of the Lakota living on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.  Because we have a couple of projects that are working to make changes in the quality of life of the people living on Pine Ridge, monetary donations go to where they are needed.  The immediate need is a way to keep people warm as the harsh South Dakota winter hits.  Once the immediate danger of residents freezing to death has passed, we can start building and rehabbing homes. 

 

Spirited Heart Projects

At this time we have our needs separated by category, this will show you what we need and how your money will be spent:

• Housing

Many of the houses on the reservation, that are currently being inhabited by those we are trying to help, are so full of black mold that they will need to be burned to the ground.  Homes that are able to be rehabbed will be.  As we build and rehab homes, some residents will have to live in the  temporary housing we are also building.

• Clothing, Blankets and Heaters

Residents on the reservation are the poorest in our nation.  They simply do not have the means to get the clothing they need.  We will also be buying items such as coats, hoodies, sweat pants, socks, gloves, hats and even items like pillows.

How can I know that progress is being made with my donation?

Donors that provide an email or physical address will get a newsletter showing where the money raised was spent.   The website will also document progress made on each project.
